Terms of Service
Effective July 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of CollegeCounselor (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CollegeCounselor is a free informational tool that helps prospective college applicants understand admissions data. It is provided "as is" and free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
2. Not professional advice
The Service does not provide admissions, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and no advisory relationship is created by using it. See our Disclaimer for details.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scraping at scale, attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineering it, or using it to harass others or violate any law.
4. Intellectual property
Public data referenced by the Service belongs to its respective owners. The Service's own software, design, and compiled presentation are owned by CollegeCounselor. You may use outputs for your personal college-application purposes.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollegeCounselor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the Service. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind.
6. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
